By Air : Keshod Airport is a domestic airport serving the cities of Junagarh which is nearly 70 km away from the Gir National Park. Other major airports are in Diu and Rajkot located almost 90 km and 160 km away respectively. From Mumbai, daily flights run to this region and travellers can reach within 2 hours. Travellers can take a cab or bus to reach the national park.
By Rail : The Junagadh Railway Station is the closest to the national park which connects with different cities like Ahmedabad, Rajkot and several other major cities. Rajkot is another railhead to visit the location. It takes around one and a half hours to reach the Sasan Gir National Park. visitors have to take a bus or hire a cab to cover the distance between the railway station and the national park.
By Road : The roadways are well constructed and maintain a good network with all the major cities of Gujarat which include Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik, Junagadh, Veraval and Rajkot. Both state bus and private bus services are available from various parts of the state that are connected by national and state highways. Cab and taxi services are also available in the region. Visitors can also opt to drive their personal vehicles to reach the Gir National Park. Driveaway roads provide scenic views to the travellers.
